  • Keeping true to last season we want to remain an affordable option for those wanting a drum corps experience. We want to be the program for those who want to do drum corps during summer but not the whole summer; or the college student who still needs to work a few days a week before classes start back up.

We’re not for everybody and that’s okay for us. We are looking to build on the success of 2023 to go into 2024 strong and ready for a new challenge. We have a future oriented mindset here and do everything today to set us up for success tomorrow.

  • Eclipse DBC will be participating under the soundsport competition structure for 2024. This allows a wide range of possibilities in terms of music, instrumentation, and design. It is the goal of Eclipse to eventually advance to an open class corps.

The current age range for the program is 14-21. Prior experience in marching band/drum corps is not required. We want to strongly encourage woodwind players to come out and audition on our brass line. We are an educational program at our roots and would love the opportunity to teach you on something new.

  • We encourage you to bring the instrument that you are auditioning on. The corps does have a limited number of brass and battery equipment that will also be available at camps. When summer rehearsal begins the corps will outfit all instruments except trumpets.

  • For the upcoming season, Eclipse is gearing up for an exciting lineup of events. Our current plan includes participation in four DCI competitions, along with 2-3 community performances spanning the states of Indiana and Ohio. We understand the importance of rehearsal schedules and times, and we will communicate these details to potential members and interested parties as soon as our schedule is finalized in the coming months.

Innovating for the benefit of our members, we're thrilled to introduce a new addition to our program this year – overnight camps. This initiative aims to provide a valuable opportunity for potential members who may be traveling from afar to be a part of our corps. Stay tuned for more information on these exciting developments!

  • The November, December, and January audition camps will only be conducted on Saturday. From then on we plan to have a Friday-Sunday rehearsal that will include housing at our partner school as well as provided meals.

  • For the upcoming season, we anticipate that member tuition may be slightly higher than the previous year. Last season, our member tuition was $800, and while we've made efforts to keep costs reasonable, there may be a modest increase to ensure that we can continue providing an exceptional experience for our members.

At Eclipse, we believe that every passionate individual should have the opportunity to be a part of our program. To ensure that financial considerations do not stand in the way of your dreams, we offer various financial assistance options, scholarships, and fundraising opportunities. Our goal is to make Eclipse accessible to all who share our passion for music and performance. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or if you'd like to explore financial assistance options further.
