Colby is our Mellophone Section leader this year! Colby knows a variety of instruments, so we are excited he chose mellophone with Eclipse!

Why Colby chose Eclipse DBC:
"I love Eclipse DBC because of the amazing culture. Everyone is fun to be around, and you can have a good time with anyone and everyone. The staff is incredible, too—I’ve learned so much from them, and I can’t wait to continue growing as a performer and watch the corps grow in size and skill."

Advice for incoming rookies:
"Enter your audition camp like a sponge—soak up everything! Your caption heads and staff members are your greatest resources. Take feedback well and apply it, and you’ll be just fine."

Favorite Eclipse memory:
"The Fourth of July parades are definitely my favorite. Even though it’s a long day, it’s so much fun to perform in the Chicago area and show off little tricks like spins when we’re not playing."
